Soldotna man arrested for shooting at snowmachiners

A Kenai Peninsula man was arrested for allegedly shooting at two men on snowmachines Friday, the Alaska State Troopers said.

On Friday evening, troopers in Soldotna “received a report of a male shooting at two males on snow machines as they rode on Soldotna Creek,” the AST said in an online dispatch Saturday.

Troopers identified the man shooting as John Spinka, 65, of Soldotna. He was arrested on a charge of third-degree assault and taken to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility.
