Some GCI customers in Anchorage, Eagle River and Wasilla are experiencing interruptions to phone, cable and internet services, a company spokesman said Friday morning.
The issue was first reported just before 6:45 a.m., spokesman Josh Edge said in an email.
“GCI teams have been dispatched and are currently working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” he said.
The interruption appears to be due to an issue with a section of fiber optic cable that was damaged last weekend by a vehicle fire, Edge said.
