I was under the impression that fireworks are prohibited in Anchorage. One would never know that if they were in my neighborhood the night of July 4. I have never been in a battle zone, but it sounded like what I imagine that would be.
If there is a law, why is it not enforced? Where are Anchorage's finest while this is going on? Why even have a law that is not enforced and to which nobody pays attention?
