Alyse Galvin said her 21-year-old RV has logged mileage equivalent to driving from Los Angeles to New York and back since her campaign for Alaska's U.S. House seat began. It will log a few more before election day. Galvin is planning to make contact with 40 election districts in Alaska in the final four days, many in person. Long days could make the difference on Election Day, she said.

"Part of me might be exhausted, but part of me is exhilarated," Galvin said.

Anchorage Daily News rode along with Galvin as she criss-crossed Anchorage on Friday, November 2, 2018, to campaign at grocery stores, a laundromat, a gas station, a barber shop and more. Galvin said recent polling suggests her race against Rep. Don Young is close. Young has been Alaska's only representative in the House for 45 years. If elected, Galvin would be the first woman to hold the position.
